Where To Go South Central CO

After spending a few days with my family in Colorado Springs, I am going solo for a few days. Plan to start in the Fairplay area, work my way down to Buena Vista, Salida, and then drive east of the Sange De Cristo range as I make my way home to West Texas. I am a pastor on sabbatical and I am looking for some dispersed camping sites where I can set up along the way for some solitude and maybe some fly fishing. Mainly want to get up and out of the main crowds into some of the more isolated areas. Not an experienced 4wheel driver but would like try to get off road as much as I can. If you have any advice, I would sure love to hear! Thank you in advance!

Idk the first thing about camping TBH and idk how serious you are looking at getting with the 4WD business but bring some straps and a snatch block. Perhaps even a portable air compressor to air up your tires in case you need to air down
