Where to mount strobes??

Post your vote. Im going to put the front 2 strobes in the blinker/running lights or the hellas mounted under the push bar. I think the blinker/running light choice will provide more side protection than the hella option. But the hellas sit up higher and provide better protection from a head on angle. Ive looked at mounting the strobes in the headlights but fear that I will chip off the reflective surface of the headlight so ive crossed that location off the list. As for the rearend, Im mounting the rear strobes in the reflectors located in the rear bumper. Thanks in advance for your imput.

A) Don't use strobes :nono:, use LEDs. Strobes are hot, shorter life span requiring frequent disassemble of the lights to replace the strobe and the OEM bulb due to overheating and also requires hard to mount power supplies that are sometimes noisy as hell. LEDs are a brighter and smoother light.

B) If this is all you have for lights, put it in the corner lamps or whatever lens shows the most at 45 degree angle out from the center of the car.

C) If this is all you have for lights, and you are going to be running code, you're gonna hurt someone. :driving:

An LED dash light with the corner lamps up front and your choice of color in the reverse lights is what I would say is the bare minimum and still safe.:jump:

Thanks for the info, I just wish I would have gotten it a few days prior. Ive already seen the heat damage caused to the OEM lights. I now wish I had gone with LEDs. I ended up mounting the strobes in the DRL/Turn Signal. Im not too worried about a dash mount at this time since I only need the strobes for added visibility once on scene. Running hot is more liability than I want to take on. Thanks again for the info.

what type of leds are reliable? i see hundreds of sights but not sure what to trust..they all look kinda sketchy
