Where to tap reverse wire in '08 4runner?

Installing my nav, need to find a wire to tap for reverse. 10 speaker JBL without factory nav...

Just a thought, go back to the reverse lights and trace the wire as far forward as possible, or just tap right from the socket in the taillight.

Yup, that's what I did. I was hoping to do get an easier solution, but tapping into the light worked just fine. CANBUS is too hard to figure out on these vehicles.

The center pin on your tow-plug-in is the reverse light circut,it'll be labled as such. I peeled back enough wire-loom to get a good tap on the wire that feeds at that pin,still workin!:

The harness that runs right below the radio can be tapped for both reverse signal and speed sensor signal for navigation installation. I did just that on my own installation, but I had access to the wiring schematics, so it was easy to find the wires that I needed.

could you post the schematics or what color is the reverse wire I need to tap into? I'll be install my camera this weekend and would like some info before I start.
