where is it located. all the letters have came off on my fuse box, i replaced the EGR valve and the lil sensor was replaced a while back. you can tell how new they both look ( picture below) and i was wandering what else would be causing my check engine light to come on and give me a code 71. because those two parts right there were close to $300 and im really baffled on what else it could be.

check tsm if you have one. Mine a 90 4runner, and its in the engine bay, i believe its the top left fuse if you are looking at it from the side of the truck and its a 15A. Although I think the newer fuse panels are a bit different.

ok so i removed the fuse and disconnected the battery, and after about 30 miles or 40 miles of driving.. it came back on giving me the same code. So now im thinking EGR Modulater Valve? I took mine apart and it looked pretty bad i cleaned it and stuck it back where it went and engine still idles at about 1600 rpms... seems like something is stuck when I first start it up but after driving about 10 miles the truck warms up and when i put it in nuetral it idles fine at 800 RPMS. but if i turn the truck off and turn it back on same problem as before.

i just wanted to be safe lol. well after i cleaned that egr valve modulator it idled a lil bit better to be honest but not much so i think i'll purchase a new one and see what happens. it's only $60. the filter in mine is terrible!!
