Hi all....
05 Sport Ed - w/o JBL system (I got the very basic system). I have a Kenwood KVT-M700 to install - hopefully this weekend.
I still have a few questions now after searching and coming up with some great info from the recent past. Much props to Rando's writeup.
- to those with slide out single din receiver/monitors, where have you hid your HU brain???
- what is this "antennae amplifier" I keep reading about?
- ground the ebrake wire and video will play when vehicle is moving... ok, can I just solder it right to the ground wire coming out of the HU and find 1 ground for the both of them?
- where in the firewall can I run an 8 awg power wire and a couple of thinner gauge fog light wires? (pics if you have them)
- is there a harness that Kenwood makes that will connect my brain to the factory plug or do I have to hardwire/solder? (to use factory speaker wires, power wires, etc)
