Which AT Tires??

I'm trying to figure out which AT tires to get for my future 4Runner Trail Edition. It will be my everyday vehicle as well as my "Toy". I spend a lot of time during the summer 4wheeling here in CO as well as lots of time hunting. What would you guys suggest?

For your needs, BFG AT KO or GY Wrangler SA. Personally, i prefer BFG AT KO. Both are proven.

Price wise these two are almost the same. Given that the BFG AT KO have a 60,000 mile warrenty that sounds like an easy choice to me.

Probably best to ask people who live and drive in Colorado, rather than just random people who may or may not ever take their vehicle into similar terrain.

There is a lot of information on this forum and others about tires, but what it boils down to is the BFG AT KO and the GY Silent Armor both carry the Mountain Snowflake severe weather rating and can handle being aired down. The BFG has an edge off road because of its three ply sidewall and the GY silent armor will perform better on road.

My Duratracs have impressed me on my DD and in the wet they are hard to beat and not everybody has them and won't break the bank.

I would say Revo's. Better on road and in rain than BFGs. Lived in Vail and Breck for 5 years and the Revos were awesome in snow. Had BFGs years ago on a 80 series LC, have always thought they were overrated. They look cooler than most ATs, I will give them that.

I went with the BFG AT's as well, but stuck with the 265's because I could get them in a C. Saves on weight and gas as well as a smoother ride, but still allows me enough tire to go wheeling. Just FYI, I cannot tell the difference in size between the 265 and 275

You have to be honest with yourself. To what level do you need an aggressive tire?

You can still have an AT, but there is a difference in the Revos and the Duratracs.
