Which cargo liner fits best with Double deck removed?

Anyone done this? Just picked up my 4runner and most likely going to take the double deck out, I just can't see me ever using it.

I know if you keep the deck and and always in the down postion, it seems the Husky liner is the better way to go. But if the deck is removed, anyone have any idea which liner then fits best, Husky or Weathertech?

I know about the height gap or whatever that's left if you take out the deck, and I'm not worried about that. More concerned about the whole back in being covered.

Weathertech makes a model for each, removed and with cargo deck. If I'm not mistaken the Husky is just "with" cargo deck, that's what my search has come up with, I'm about to take mine out too and going with the larger Weathertech.

Ah, maybe Husky needs to update their site, but when I was looking around on their site yesterday they list one for the double decker, and one without (similar to the larger Weathertech).

I was thinking the same though, and probably going to go with the larger Weathertech.

Ah didn't go to Husky site, cool to know. For a few bucks more the WT is more durable, I've had 3 sets over the years and no buyers remorse

Agreed, WT are nicer. I had both in my Tacoma, and prefered the WT.

I took out my DD Cargo floor and Have the WeatherTechs. I will eventually get the right parts to fill the Gap.

Check out the Lund brand, I just got the full set, they are a dealer option but Lund sells them as Nifty and Xtreme mats, look hd and decent price so I'll a try them out.

Husky fit great and never had an issue with them and if you can get them on Amazon when on sale they are pretty affordable.

The Weathertech fit is very disappointing, and it's a lot flimsier than I was expecting. Relatively light weight stuff like a receiver hitch/ball will puncture the material. I wish I'd gone with something else.

You think so? Do you have the liner one? I've been beating on mine for years and have never punctured a hole

Ive run WT for years in numerous vehicles... and always will.

I don't know what you mean by "the liner one." But if you're referring to the one that is supposed to be on the floor, as opposed to on top of the deck, then yes - it's an expensive POS that doesn't fit well. I even returned the first one and watched the computer screen when the guy did the reorder, just to be sure he got the right one. I also verified when it came in. Cheap, thin plastic that is easily punctured.

Front floor mats are awesome and worth every penny. Just not sure why the rear one is so bad.

Weird, maybe mine's different since I don't have the rear deck lid on this truck. Like I said, I've moved countless things, snake cages, appliances, tools, lawn mowers, all kinds of crap, and my WT is thick and resiliant, and the fit is almost perfect. Sorry to hear of your issues

I hope I ordered right. I clicked the deck option on the WT site, but will always keep it lowered and want full coverage. It should arrive tomorrow.

I'm thinking the one with the deck has to thin/flat so you can lock the deck down. If it was to think you wouldn't be able to do that.

I've got the Weathertech. I took a piece of laminate flooring 7 2/3" wide by 7mm thick. I had around the house and cut it to fit between the fender wells in the rear cargo area and it fits like a glove. I used some double sided tape to hold the piece of flooring in place so it didn't move around or make noise. You would never know I removed the double deck.

Agree, the WT is a bit flimsy but I took out the upper deck and it sits in the garage. I have WT front, mid and rear and over the years they have taken a beating. I actually called WT to get the emblem replaced on the fronts, they just popped out so I called and they sent me new replacements. They do the job and I am happy with them for what I use them for on a daily driver.
