Which fourth gens are part time 4wd?

Which, if any 4th gen 4Runners are part time 4wd?

Only V-6 4x4 are part time. You can leave a V-6 in 4wd all the time too. All V-8 are Full time.

I wonder how the full time 4wd will affect the towing over time?

I don't believe there will be any negative effect as Toyota touts the V8 as the towing rig and the V6 as the more economical rig.

Like any other vehicle when you tow often you will have to perform tranny, Transfer case, and rearend maint more often.
