Which hatch LED bulbs?

thanks for the heads up!

Get the premium set up. Once you try them in the hatch, you will want that kind of lighting in the front an middle too, and the red lights are great at night wehn driving, or when out and you want to keep the bugs at bay.

Which trunk lights did you get from DD? My whole interior has been swapped with DD LED lights and everything is nice and bright except the dome and trunk lights. I have the HP6 bulb from DD for the trunk and the interior dome and they are both not bright at all compared to the rest of the interior lighting. Pretty disappointing.

I went with the board cause for the little bit of extra cost its almost twice the output. Here's some pics from my Tundra for comparisons since I never got any of the 4Runner before it got totaled a couple weeks ago. Also, pointman, if you have kids red is the way to go,cause if they fall asleep in the car at night its not as harsh and wont wake them up.

Also, I just found out DiodeDynamics is running a sale this weekend for 20% off with code: LABOR if that helps with the decision making lol wish I would have waited a week on mine now

According to the website, the light output for the HP6 is 130 lumens and the SMD12 board is 118 lumens but you're saying the board is 2 times as bright? Strange...

From the picture, the wiring for the board does not look the same as the HP6 bulb...how is installed? It just looks like the type of connection for the map lights up front (if that makes any sense).

My bad, I was looking at the door lights when I told you that, its options are the HP3 (56 lumens) or the SMD12 Board (118 Lumens) with that hatch light being the HP6 I'm surprised its not super bright. The board installs using a festoon style connector seen below

Interior Lighting Upgrade Underway...

Thanks to all who contributed here (and in other threads) on interior lighting upgrades. The OEM setup is truly abysmal. I opted to install the ArcLight White/Red LEDs, starting with the Rear Hatch Lights. I also decided to backstop the process for full reversal: I ordered a pair of replacement Hatch lights ($22 each) and a replacement Dome light ($34), from ToyotaPartsOverstock.com. So far, the hatch lights are in and work and look awsome. Waiting for the Dome conversion unit (on backorder).
