Which Hilux Surf Parts to bring to the US? ***PIC HEAVY***

Hello! I currently own a 96 Hilux Surf living in Japan. I love the truck and I know that many of the JDM parts on it are rare in the US and highly sought after. That said, I will be relocating to Washington St. in a few months and planned on buying a 3rd gen when I get there. I will be dismantling the Surf and bringing back all the parts with me to use on my truck in the US. I've learned that my Surf has parts that are rare even in Japan and those are the parts that I really want, like the factory Recaro seats and stock 6 spoke wheels.
I will also more than likely be bringing back the motor since it's pristine and only has the equivalent of about 116000 miles. In fact, the only thing wrong with my truck now is I believe one of my front wheel bearings is starting to fail since its a little louder than normal. So my question to all of you is, what parts would you bring back if you were me? Pics of my truck attached for reference and I can take more if there's something you want to see. Have you considered storing your vehicle for a few more years? If your vehicle is 25 years old from the date of manufacturing, you can legally import the vehicle into the US.

I had a 2000 Surf SSR-G, goddamn I miss it.

Yes, I would look into storing it and shipping it state-side when it turns 25 year old. Having that said, it is my understanding that Japan taxes older cars which make it uneconomical to keep. I could/probably be wrong.

I don't know if I would bother with the rims and tires... they look identical to the 16" rim that was available on a early year 4th Gen SR5 4Runner.

That said, ur you are bringing over motors and seats, probably not THAT big of a deal, but if you were fighting for space, I would take something else more valuable.

*Tailgate/Spare mount if money was no obstacle for shipping and paint.

-Visor set
-field monitor
-recaros. rear seats might need modded to use recline.
-fender set (L&R). small differences between us and jp are the antenna holes and the parking mirror has a space to mount the mirror. also side markers. be sure you snip those bulb connector harnesses. if you're going for JDM points then ill be looking at that antenna hole and mirror placement lol.
-power folding mirrors if you have it
-Rear electric outlet. maybe you can retrofit that into your rig for 'cool' points.
-you should grab the jp license plate for the luls too, if you can.


Front bash bar? nah. just get a cool steel plate bumper.
don't bring the wheels. they're common here.

I have thought about that as well but I don't have anywhere to store it, nor do I want to deal with the hassle of importing (already looked into the process since I used to have an R32 GT-R).

Thanks for the heads up. Didn't realize they were avail on the 4th gen. Just hadn't seen any 3rd gens with them. I'll leave them. Space is not a problem at all. Neither is weight. I will be able to put them in my household goods shipment at the government's cost when I move back.

Thanks! I will bring all of that too. I was planning to get a steel bumper (or make one) but I'm gonna bring the bash bar anyway. It's easy enough to take off and someone else might want it for "cool points" haha.

Those wheels were added on later, nothing rare. V6 on a Surf is rare, but this isn't a rare engine. I'd strip the entire blue interior along with the seats and tire carrier. Transmission and transfer case can be pulled from any 99-00 4Runner Limited. The adjustable suspension is rare but likely worn and unimpressive when new.

Sorry it took so long to reply. I am on a ship that's deployed currently but I'll be back in Japan before I move to the US. What did you have in mind?
