Have a 97 2wd 4runner. Will not be doing any off-roading will be all street use. Wife and kids vehicle. I do want to put a small lift on it though cause I have some new wheels I want to throw on as well. Need opinions for a good 2-3" lift without sacrificing any ride quality. Want to ride like stock if not better. Not looking for least expensive way to do it but I can't go overboard. Remember I will not be taking this wheeling or anything. Any help for a perfect setup for our ride. Thanks.

i'm running "3 Old Man Emu coils/shocks. ride quality is waaay better than stock. a little less side to side sway (although still there) and alot less nose-diving when braking. ride is stiffer so you'll definitely feel the road more. my 4runner is my daily driver but i do little to moderate 4 wheeling, and had other suspension setups on other rigs before (procomp, trailmaster), but the OME suspension setup i by far the best for high speed open wheeling and small jumps. bought mine from toytec. don't know much about fabtech lift kits but i hear good things.

also note (this is mentioned on other threads too), that 2-3" lift will still limit you to 32" tires, and in some instances 33". if you are going to just change the wheels and not the overall diameter of the tires, then you are in good shape.

right now i have 235/75/15 stocks on it. 15x7" stocks. gonna put some new 15x8" rims on it but yes i did want to do a bigger tire. guessing maybe around 32s. so the 3" ome will give me a better ride for street use but will be a stiffer ride as well? would i feel much more road or should it be enjoyable. thanks
