Which monitoring gauges?

Right now I have the factory Water Temp and Fuel Gauge, I plan to add the following:
A/F Wideband
Oil Pressure
Trans Temp

No need for a boost gauge for a long time, so with one pod left, what would you place as the priority (and why)?
Oil Temp
Exhaust Temp
Fuel Pressure
???

none of those others seem real important to me... battery voltage seems like something worthwhile to monitor

Unfortunately I don't have a droid.

not much on oil temp gauge in my opinion... there's not a logical reason for the engine (oil) to be overheating IF your have the correct pressure (and you're monitoring that) and your engine coolant temp is normal (and you're monitoring that)... I'd say battery voltage will at least give you a warning of a potential failure (battery or alternator etc...) you otherwise have no indication of until your vehicle stops starting in the middle of nowhere. A Scangauge II will show all of those AFAIK.

Well, not sure about oil pressure. It does show engine and transmission temperatures though.

True statement. Here's another one, it costs roughly 7 times as much as the torque pro option. Not hatin', just sayin... $20 vs $150, same (if not more) functionality.

Don't think torque app is available for iphones. I've been looking at the blue driver. Looks to be good but, it's more....

Pick up an Android smartphone with a bad ESN or someone's old phone that they upgraded for cheap. Download torque over WiFi @ home for $5. Get a BT adapter for $20 on fleabay. Now you have a completely customizable solution for all your gauge needs.

I guess it depends on whether you want something that is dependent on your phone. To me there's a lot of value in having something that is permanently attached to the truck. Since the OP was talking about putting in gauges (which cost more to install than even an SG) I didn't figure cost was a major concern. :shrug:

They must have updated the UG. I have a UG on my DD Mazda pickup (which has a manual tranny) and it works well. My UG has 6 gauges on each screen and 3 screens.

SGII on my 4runner so I can monitor trans temps, especially important since my 4runner's primary use is as a tow vehicle.

Man, had no idea about this. just ordered the OBDII Bluetooth Adapter for $11.86 and was able to "acquired" the app for free. Adapter gets here Monday, can't wait. Thanks NuclearN8, this is a very cheap and useful mod.

Thank you all for your thoughts on my gauges and thanks for sharing some new tools that not only I can use, but others as well. Your thoughts definitely helped steer me.

I ended up buying the 4 gauge flexpod in the classifieds and went with the following:
Autometer ES oil pressure, tranny temp, and voltage
Innovative Motorsports 3844 A/F

The hard part will be figuring out what order I put them in.

I used several $50/30% off coupons at Advance Auto and had some points on my amazon card so I ended up with about $500 out of pocket for the whole setup. I had my SG mounted in my 3rd gen and I was very pleased with it. However, I love having a good ole fashioned gauge in front of me.

Thanks again! I'm excited to track down a Bluetooth OBD II tool soon!
