Which oil to use?

Hey guys, I just picked up a 1990 4Runner V6 5spd yesterday and I am about to drive from Kamloops to Vernon but gonna add oil first or maybe an oil change and I was wondering what oil to use like viscosity wise. Im not familiar with these trucks, I have a '86 Celica GT-S but got the 4Runner to use for camping this summer since I got my license.

I run Quaker State synthetic due to the cold here in Alaska. recommended by the shop here. not sure of the weight.

Ah alright. I do plan to use synthetic oil; possibly Mobil 1 if/when it goes on sale. Would 10w30 be good?
