hey guys and gals..

been debating on a new .22lr firearm to take to the range.. need something to plink around than my sig or 870

so far, I have these choices for an rifle.

sig 522, smith and wesson m&p 15-22 , hk 416 .22lr and the colt m4 .22lr

or an .22lr pistol.

choices are .22 lr conversion kit for my p226, sig mosquito or something you guys would recommend..

I love shooting my p226 and 870 but overtime, the price of bullets adds up.. I need something to kick the brass booty.. I can spend $11 an box for 9mm and $22 for 100 rounds of shells.. or $18 for an brick of .22lr.

thanks.

I like the Keltec Su22. I have the su16 but my cousin just picked up the su22 and its very impressive. At only 4lbs, you can run drills all day with it having to worry about the weight. I shot the Sig 522 and its bulkier and heavier. We run 2 gun and 3 gun drills running through the desert and found the su22 to be really reliable. You can burn 1000 rounds in one days worth of drills and only spend $40 for ammo. For me I dont like the bulkiness of the sig522. To each is own. I really dont know much about the rest of the guns you have mentioned. Good luck and hope others chime in.
