Pulling the trigger on Bilsteins for the TE for the handling and to level the truck. I've read every thread I can find about this and it looks like I have three options:

1) Set the front to 0.85

2) Set the front to 1.75 and keep the rears stock

3) Set the front to 1.75 and add a 1.5" spacer or coil (in my case a Daystar coil spacer)

I'll be keeping my 265/70/17 BFGs in any case. Keeping in mind ride quality, reliability, handling and overall look - which would you guys choose? I'm really torn here.

Had mine at .85 but changed to 1.75.Just finished the install and waiting for toytec spacers for the rear.85 will look good and fix all other issues if you plan to keep the rear stock. On the other hand i'm not sure if you like it at 1.75 with stock rear coz i have a reverse rake on the side view.heres a pic of mine at .85 with stock no load rear.Thats taken from a level ground.at this angle i notice a reverse rake with the billys at .85. Wow -- that's some major rake. This is at .85 or 1.75? I have never heard anyone complain of reverse rake at .85.

Do you have KDSS? I would think KDSS would bias more weight to the front.

Well that definitely rules out option #2, I guess.

What size spacer did you get for the 1.75? I went ahead and ordered one of these:

Amazon.com: Daystar KT09127BK Comfort Ride 1.5" Rear Coil Spring Spacer Kit: Automotive

That pics is taken at .85 bellstein setting. No i dont have KDSS.maybe thats why i have the reverse rake.I should have bought from amazon.I got mine from toytec and its $50(including shipping) more that the amazon price.Thought ill try it out with the spacer and if i like the stance then ill save some for the SAW 1.5 springs and a pair of shocks.Im not gunning to for a real level set up but would like to keep at least an inch rake.

The KDSS probably does make a little bit of difference - I'm sure the thicker sway bar alone weighs several pounds more than stock, not to mention all the hydraulics.

Is it possible that your spring was installed incorrectly on the perch? I've read that accidentally reversing the perch can boost the lift.

If you have the chance to post a similar shot with your truck at 1.75, I'd appreciate it. Would be interesting to see the difference.

I think a lot of guys are leveling-out the top of the wheel-arches. I agree with you, I think frame-level is the way to go. Therefore, .85 is really the only option if you leave the rear stock. BTW, did you measure before/ after? did you get an actual lift of .85, or more?

I marked the springs and the color(green and orange) marks aligned facing the front of the truck.I'll be taking pics this pm and post em.

+1 on the frame level. yup i did get +-.85 at that point.

It's interesting to see that your gallery pics all look completely level. I can't imagine a 1.75/1.5 lift would result in a negative rake though - if anything, I'd worry about there being too much lift in the rear. Other thing I worry about is the 265s looking a little small.

Decisions, decisions.

I agree with you on the 1.75/1.5 set up.I'll see what comes out of it since my .85 setting made a reverse rake.I'm also worried about the 265s.Looking at it after the 1.75 setting in the front wasn't that bad(initially).Hope the rear will be the same.Otherwise, its off to the classifieds.

Didnt drive it on the main road yet.but i see the hood. Lots of hood.might have to wait till the rear spacers come and have the alignment alltogether. Thanks.

Bastangs photo at .85 makes me nervous to put mine at that when installed next week, looks like reverse rake, yet seems like everyone else has been ok, but a couple (small handful) seems like back is lower at .85 in photos but they say it measures out ok....anyone have any other in put? Mike g looks good at .85. Wonder if it's not doing the rear with 5100 (even though it's not suppose to give you any height at all). Can't be tires.... Should I be concerned, I do hate reverse rake.

I have mine set at the highest setting with 1.5" rear coils. The tires are stock size.

So Sells is a net .75 lift to the front and Degang would only be .25 lift to the front. Ill be at .85 which is close to Sells....I think it will come down to having to put in a small spacer later or just leave it at normal...bottom notch on the 5100s....good photos....thanks.

Any more from others? I have search but I get the same ones and not all are on level ground and such.

Billys @ .85, nothing else.
I wanted it level and nothing more, perfect in my eye.
