Which roof rack sits flush on the roof?

I know I've seen them on some of you guys' rigs...I thought it was the Baja Mule, but now I'm not sure. I want one that takes the place of the factory set up, not one that sits on top of the factory stuff. Any ideas?

+1 on this. I've been wanting to know the same. I don't have a roof rack but I have two track/strips on top that is factory installed but I'm not sure if I can mount anything on it. I prefer the look of the flush mount.

You are correct. The Mule and MegaMule from BAJA Rack both have direct fit for 3rd gens now. Originally they were not direct fit, they clamped onto the crossbars, but they have since updated them for the closer and tighter fit to the roof.

I was hoping you wouldn't say that because that direct fit rack is way more expensive than the regular mule....time to save more nickels!

bajarack hands down, and they make a size specifically for the 3rd gen but you have to contact them directly.
