Which Step Bars or Nerf Bars?

I did some searches but didnt really come up with much.

I need to get rid of these ugly ass running boards. I thought I could live with them for awhile but I would really like to replace them.

I want black step bars, I am just not sure what kind to get. Do the newer Toyota ones fit older 4Rs like my 05?

I had Smittybuilt ones on my Wranlger because the price was right. Man was that a mistake, the coating bubbled and they rusted after just 1 winter.

Any input on which ones to get and where to buy?

The 2006+ Sport Edition and Urban Runner tubular steps should fit without any problems. Check classifieds and see if there are members selling them.

A better alternative would be rock sliders. Shrockworks sliders are bolt on.
