which suspension brand gives the softest ride?

I have a 2010 T4R LE with x-reas suspension and 17'' wheels. I find the ride too stiff since we have so many rough roads here. is there any way i can make it softer beside replacing the whole suspension system?
if i have to replace the suspension system, which brand gives you the softest ride?

I wonder how 4runner is much stiffer than lexus gx since they have same frame...:suspicious:

I also have the xreas and I think that's about the smoothest ride you're going to find.

i have decided to replace the x-reas with Rancho ride-adjustable suspension kit which has 9 position ride control that sets the shocks from soft to stiff ride. hope it will solve my issue.

Big mistake. You bought a truck, not an Escalade. The XREAS is as comfortable as it gets but do what you want. Just remember when that XREAS gets pulled off you cant put it back on. It might be a possibility but it will cost you out the ass. And of all the shocks available you choose Rancho? Seriously, before you whip out the credit card spend a few hours researching this site on this exact topic and you might change your mind. Once again though, people mistake the ride quality for the exterior looks of the new 4Runners. They're beautiful TRUCKS but they ride nothing like Escalades, Infinity, Lexus and other flagship type SUVs.

And if you were to replace the stock suspension, Rancho should be near the bottom of your list. Don't let the name fool you.
The aftermarket suspension with the best ride and handling is made by Old Man Emu.

These guys are right! You really can go smoother than what Toyota designed and provided for you. Anything aftermarket will only make the ride quality lean towards the stiffer/harsher side of things.

A Lexus GX is a luxury SUV that's designed for and catered to a different group of buyers. The two SUVs can appear similar, but it's far from it.
