Which Tire - REVOS or SlientArmor?

Well now that I've finally purchased my 4Runner I plan to upgrade the tires in the not to distant future.

Luckily my 4Runner came with Bridgestone Dueler H/T tires instead of the Dunflops so there isn't a huge rush.

I would, however really like to go to a more aggressive tread for looks and offroad performance.

The choice is between the often mentioned Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revos:

And the Goodyear SilentArmor:

I need some feedback on which is better for both on & offroad use and why. Tirerack doesn't have a survey for the SilentArmor tires yet.

A couple of things I did notice was that the SilentArmor is lighter than the Revos and meets the severe snow service requirments.

Why just limit yourself to Goodyear Silent Armor?

tirerack.com has very good reviews for Firestone Destination A/T.

Let's not forget lots of folks like the Nittos Terra Grapplers too.

and Toyo Open Country.

and Michelin LTX M/S.

and Pirelli Scorpions.

Los of folks like Coopers A/T, too

etc.

I would like to see more reviews on Silent Armour before even considering them. Perhaps they have improved upon Badyear's Wrangler line, but maybe not. Too early to tell.

I have no knowledge of the silent armors, but I love my revos, I got about 2500 miles on them and they are IMHO a flawless tire.

It will be difficult to decide until someone has owned both tires and can compare.

The REVOs are owned by many and well liked. They got my vote.


Not many people have reviewed the GoodYears.

What is your final verdict for SilentArmors?

Best tires i ever bought =) only thing i didnt like about em they didnt come in anything but E load range....just means i have to keep 40 PSI in em compared to 30 like they recomend
