Ian deciding against getting nittos now I've found 3 more tires I like which ones does everyone like best give me your opinions.

I dont have much exoeriece with the hankook's, but most of their tires are decent but not the best. The yokohomas are ok, i had a friend running those on his jeep but didnt like how they hooked up so he went with the goodyear kevlars. The kevlars hook up great offroad, and not bad at all in the snow. probably my favorite mud tire. I'm going to throw a set of 305/70/16 on mine in the summer.
 
i only have ~10 hours of experience on the Wranglers so far, but the traction they have is GOD LIKE! can't comment on anything else except they do freeway speeds without any issues, and make a very nice "truck sound" when @ 40mph ish and above! i can't wait to take them somewhere gnarly in 4wd!

I recommended BFG KM2. Aggressive as these and tough. I have heard the hankooks are soft. Don't know about Yokohama, but they are reputable. I am sure Goodyear is good, I just don't like the tread design. Very happy with my BFG KM2's.
 
If you plan on wheeling in the midwest, I would not suggest the MT/Rs. They are horrible in the mud here. If you want a mud terrain, go with the km2, toyo, or trxus mt. The duratracks are getting good reviews too.

If you dont plan on wheeling, then go with the MTRs.
 
Another vote for the BFG KM2s. I swear by 'em. I also have the BFG AT KOs. Great grip on n off road, great wear, and quiet for an MT.
 
We ran hancooks on full sized diesel truck for the oil field and got about 35K a piece. No noise, good mud shed.

-However- I'm running Cooper AT3's 285's and am very pleased. Good luggy tread with siping. 10 ply E rated with a 55'000 mile warranty... just sayin'
 
I had a set of the Yokos on my old truck that I got for free, one thing i didn't like was they were directional tires. I never had to use the spare but I wasn't sure what I was going to do if I got a flat on the passenger side haha
 
I have the Goodyear Kevlar's and they take anything I throw at them with little to no slippage.
I hate the mud so I stay out of it. But sand,desert,and snow they work great.
 
Out of the three, you got my vote for the kevlars as I've heard nothing but good things about them. But my real vote goes to the Mickey Thompson MTZs!!! :smokin:
 
I'm a big fan of the hankook's on my rig. They work really well in the mud that is so prevalent around here and are super quiet on the highway. You can take her for a spin if you want sometime

I've heard very good things about mtr's too but never seen them on anyone's rig I wheel with fwiw
 
All those tires look really cool, but honestly you do more street driving than offroad.
I would look into BFG All Terrain, I have had two sets on an explorer 2wd and have a set on my Yukon and they are great tires.

Or if you want more agressive go with Duratracs or even Kelly Safari they are made by goodyear and look almost just the same and are better on the wallet.

I have been researching tires since August when I got my 4runner, the only reason I have the mud terrains on mine is cause they were basically free. otherwise i would have one of the other ones I told you about.

This. Quietest MT out there, awesome traction, I really think KM2s are the best bang for the buck if you really need an MT. Just remember to sipe the center lugs if you drive on icy pavement.
 
My vote goes for Toyo! They are made in Mt Vernon IL...USA. They are by far the quietest mud or all terrain tire on the market. They wear great and have a great warranty.

All Toyo tires have a 45 day or 500 mile exchange. So get a set, if you don't like them with-in 45 day/ 500 miles, just return them.

Price is good...I got a set of All Terrian II 305-70-16 (33x12.5x16) for $185 a tire (on sale) w/ 65,000 mile warranty.

They have been awesome in snow/ice. Only been in light mud (with the A/T IIs) but did great! The M/T are a do it all tire...they will sling some mud/great in snow!! Love these tires...I have own several sets over the years.
