Which UCAs?

You can get the new style SPC UCA's that have the grease-able ball joint (same as a 1/2 ton chevy) for $390 shipped. Im pretty happy with them. I was able to get 4+ caster after installing them.

+1 with SPC. I'm on my 2nd truck with them. They work awesome, built solid, grease-able and affordable.

The new Generation of SPC's are great and come with the zerk. You can get the caster back and they are plenty stout for most people's needs on a 5th gen. I paid under $400 on Amazon. The ball joint is beefy and available everywhere when the time comes.

I ordered a lift kit with Sonoran Steel and I need to order UCAs to go with it. I tried chasing down some Camburg UCAs as those were recommended by Sonoran and they have a ball joint instead of uniball.

I was advised by someone who has a lot of mechanical knowledge to try to get a ball joint uca instead of a uniball because ball joint has a little more longevity.

For those with Total Chaos or other uniball designs, have you had your uniball setup wear out somewhat frequently (within a year or less)?

It's looking like if I want ball joint the only other real option is SPC? My understanding is they're pretty good too.

Just trying to make up my mind whether I want to go Total Chaos or SPC really (ball joint vs uniball I think is my main concern).

Interested to see what others think. Thank you everyone!

Here is a nice explanation on the various set ups. Has cutaways and discussed positives/negatives of each.
