Which way should I go with a trailer???

I will take the 205 around Portland. By that time I will be so close to Seattle that I will just want the easiest way there. My best friend from college lives in Portland so I
m sure I will get to see it a lot in the future.
I also want to stick with the I-5. I'm not too sure about the 101. I like to stick with the major highways.
Another question that may be stupid, but I'm not familiar with CA, WA, and OR. Do I have to stop at any weigh stations? I feel like this is no but I have seen signs in my travels that say "All vehicles with trailer must stop". I don't recall where. I guess it will be curious to see how heavy it is. I'm aloud 2,650 of cargo according to U-Haul.

no you do not. the only place that you would have to stop is the OR CA border, they check for foreign fruits ect -but thats only on your way into CA from OR, so this would not pertain to you.

I usually take I-40 over to bakersfield. No traffic. So if you take I-10 to Quartzite/Parker, go up to Havasu then jump on I-40. Just bypasses LA and riverside traffic. Then you can hop on I-5 through bakersfield. I've driven that way from tucson to oregon at least 10 times, much easier.

this, 4runners do not like going up the grapevine. I have towed about 2000lbs in my 4runner with the back loaded. it was not fun at all.
