Which wire is power at the antenna?

Trying to figure out if I need a whole new antenna or just the mast. The antenna has never gone down or up. Recently the mast hit a tree branch and broke. Took the mast partially apart but the "zipper" won't come out so either the motor is toast (and has been for 7 years) or maybe the stereo installer never hooked up the power antenna wire.
So, I would guess there are two wires going to the motor. Which one is the power?

On 1st gens there are 2 wires, both power, ground is via the mounting screw.

Thanks. I keep forgetting to put my year of rig in there. Doh!
It's a 90 runner. I would think that the two antennas would be quite similar.

Search "power antenna fix" in classic I did a write up on it.

If the mast broke off the plastic zipper teeth are down in the motor and you will need a new antenna mast, and have to open up the motor to get the old teeth out.

Yah, that was a good write up. I appreciate you putting it on here. Oddly enough the zipper does not appear to be broken. It is attached to the inside top of the antenna and will not pull out of the motor. Just the steel part of the antenna broke. Anyways I'll probably just buy a whole new assembly. Gotta check to make sure the antenna motor is in working shape first though cause that could save me some bucks if it works but just isn't hooked up.

You didn't mention what year truck, but 1st gen power antennas dont have the teeth on the plastic part. You must disassemble the motor unit to replace it the mast assembly.
