Which year 4runner has the best headlights....and will they fit a 98'?

Just noticed that both of my front headlamps are wiggly and they suck arssh for visibility. Which year will drop right in without any rewiring or issues of that nature?

And I was just looking and my lamps and is there a write-up for removal/install?

I believe the general concensus is '99-'02 headlights are best, and they do fit your '98. You will also hear over and over again, stay OEM, pretty well anything aftermarket is junk and worse than what you have now, no matter how pretty they look.

Yep, as I was doing my search, ppl kept saying that. OEM only for me. Now I just gotta find a pair for chiznep... broke as mexican donkey.:violin:

When I got my Runner a few months back one of the headlights was messed up, the bracket holding it in was cracked and it looked pushed in. I too am a brokeass so I went to certifit.com - they have a warehouse near me - and got the 99+ headlights, $37 each and they look great.(pick of them in my album) The light pattern isn't the greastest no, but the stock weren't that much better.

I believe the stock headlamps are about $130 each, if I had the money I would have gotten them but I needed them fast so I went aftermarket. You also asked about a new muffler - I would go stock replacement for that no doubt...

Yeah stay OEM. Had a pair of aftermarket Eagle Eyes headlights and they SUCKED!!! The light pattern was horrible and IMO made driving dangerous. Took them off in an instant and went with OEM 99-02.
