I was originally going to get a gray 4Runner, but as some of you may recall, it was totaled at the port. The dealer had a white one on the lot, so I ended up going with it. Now that I see other 4Runners on the road, I'm glad I went with white. I just love how it picks up all the dark accents, especially up front.
A couple weeks after I got my 4Runner, I took it out to the desert to give it a test run. It was refreshing to have the freedom to venture off-road without worrying about getting stuck. I just took it on some rather docile roads out there, though there were some places where a car would have bottomed out, or gotten stuck in the sand. I look forward to checking out the desert more this winter when it cools down out there. It was in the low 100's that day.
