White Headlights Bulbs....Any one installed?

I do not know the name for them but the ones like BMW's have.

I think you are thinking af HID headlights...I have not installed them but I did buy the sylvania silverstar bulbs for my foglamps and headlights and that is the closest to HID that I have ever seen without compromising visibilty...the light is pure white and extremely bright, burning brighter than some HID's. I highly recommend these bulbs even though they are $20/ bulb

Does anyone know what kind of bulbs are being used in the '03 + 4runner Sport Editions?
..Just curious because they look pretty damn bright and I don't know if the Sylvania's would make that big of a difference.
I have the Sylvania's in my '98 and they were brighter...but I'm use to them now...so they just look like normal headlights to me...Who woulda thunk it? =)

I was really surprised in the difference. It is definately a cleaner, brighter white, without looking blue like all these riced out Hondas have. I ended up putting them in the hight beams and fog lights as well. I have really enjoyed them.

Here is the list of the bulbs for the 4th gen 4Runners.
Headlight (high beam) - 9005 - 60W - (HB3 halogen bulb)
Headlight (high & low beam) - 9006 - 51W - (HB4 halogen bulb)
Front Fog Lights - 9006 - 51W - (HB4 halogen bulb)
These are the stock specs for the bulbs. The Silverstars are about 5W more than stock, from what I remember.
Here are a couple of comparison shots.

They aren't hard to install at all. Just unplug the harness from the back of the bulb, twist it and then pull it out. When you are installing the new bulbs make sure you do not touch the bulb with your fingers. The oils in your skin can cause the bulb to explode. If you think you have touched them, just clean them with some alcohol.
