Just for hits and giggles, I would like to know what the current trends are for tire mounting.

ive run em both ways lol, both look good imo- with the letters out just makes your tires harder to clean if you want the letters to actually stay white.. my vote goes to letters in..

For the most part I think black out, but it depends on your setup. The white can look good if you want to add a little contrast. I personally will never put white out again (had it on my Tacoma) just because it was a PITA to keep them clean and I'm a little OCD on things like that.

Well this question mainly depends on the company that makes the tire, some looks good with the white out...some just don't. I had my KM2's with the white lettering out and alot of you's seemed to like it...or did you, hmm?

x2 depends on the tire. I think BFG AT's look great with white out. Also I think that with stock wheels (or at least Toyota wheels in general) look better with the white wall out. Aftermarket wheels look better with black out. Also black vehicle look better with black out.

I honestly think this is the only reason people run white out... To impress people at the mall. People that actually wheel their rigs keep the black out since the white is surely going to get scraped off :hiding:
I doubt anyone would run white out if they were running Hankook's or Sams Choice:biggrin2:

I've had 6 sets of 33s on my Z71, all with whites out. I've wheeled the Z harder than most would dare, taking it down four wheeler trailers, power & gas lines, up rocky faces, & creek beds, basically anywhere I could think of to find an obstacle and never scraped a letter off.

edit: not saying it couldn't happen, just that it's not a reason to avoid white letters.
