White or Black

In order to get into a 2015 4runner my wife had two conditions. 1 it had to have the 3rd row and 2 it had to have the beige interior. We're black car people and have been for a long time, but the only one we can get locally that meets those criteria is white. (and i actually don't mind the white look tho i'm nervous about owning a white car!!!:noidea:) That being said there is a black one that meets those criteria 7 hours away and I can make the same deal on it.

What do you guys say about owning a white car?

I'm not looking for your personal preference here, rather what experience have you had with white relative to owning black cars.

Thanks for the feedback!

Down in the South, black cars suck unless you have a kick butt AC.

Looking at 14's the tan interior had two tone doors half tan half black, is the 15 the same way?

I couldn't get over the two tone door.

All that being said I have a 14 LE in blizzard pearl, beautiful when clean but does get dirty kinda easy. Not my first white vehicle though.

Similar to a black car looks really sharp when clean but hard to keep clean.

I only buy white or black rigs. I live on a dirt road. I have two white and one black vehicle in the garage right now. White is waaaay easier to keep "looking" clean. If you want black, you will always regret buying white. You already know a black truck is like a second job. Worth it every time you turn around to admire it in a parking lot.

Ended up going with the white. I actually like the way it looks better than the black in the end and driving 14 hours over a holiday weekend wasn't all that enticing, not to mention the whole having to deal with paying out of state taxes after getting it inspected in PA.

Thanks for the guidance and advice. I'll post some pics up once I get it of the interior so you can see how, if any, they've changed the interior since you last looked. I happen to like the two tone look, tho I might get tan weathertechs to increase the tan sq/footage a bit.

After seeing your replies and talking to some friends/family about their 'white car experience' I decided it wasn't all that big of a deal.

looking fwd to being a 'card carrying' member here this afternoon once i take delivery!

Cheers gents and happy 4th. :usa2:
