Who else is in TX?

I have never experienced hail like this! They were bigger than golf balls at times.

OUCH! Hopefully it didn't do much damage to the runna. I remember back in like '98 a hailstorm we had. Totaled our '85 VW Cabriolet, had to get a new roof, and a new skylight, and pretty much the whole town had to do the same. Huge insurance stir.
 
san antonio here. and i havent experienced hail storms until I moved to texas a year ago. needless to say, i hate it.
 
Thanks guys. Nothing but leaves since I parked under the tree.( I need a three car garage)
We had a couple of tornados touch in the DFW area.
One life was lost but thank God there werent anymore fatalities.
 
I'm in Plano. I thought it was gonna get here cus there were people everywhere with blankets and cardboard all over their cars, but I think we only got about pea sized.
 
We had a bad storm here last year and I wasn't near home when it started but I did see an open gargae and just drove into it;when the startled home owner came out I explained and gave him $10 for the twenty minutes I occupied his space. Nice guy and very understanding.

I wish I could have been a fly on the wall when all of this happened. man that was a funny story!!! How did you explain what was going on and what was the owners initial reaction?
 
Sorry for the typo-going-fast typing isn't my forte.

I pulled in and the guy came out rather calmly but with the hail coming down hard he knew what I was doing. I quickly jumped out and apologized and said whatever he wanted was going to be worth more than my $300 insurance deductible for repairs. He chuckled and understood since he went through an insurance claim due to hail too. I offered him $20 but he wouldn't take it so when I was leaving I threw a $10 at him as I was leaving and "tough,keep it".

Lucky you didn't get shot. If some stranger drove his car into my garage he would be looking down the end of a barrel
 
i'm from Port Arthur, TX but go to school in waco. been through couple of incidents like this but wasnt too bad. There was one last year and i had to hury and park my car in the school garage, they were quarter size hails but didnt wanna take a chance.

I just drove in slow and didn't get out of my truck til the owner came to me. I showed no aggression but he did look cautious. I wouldn't have blamed the owner for possibly brandishing a firearm but I had him at ease within 5 seconds.
 
that was a fun storm to watch from the roof of my office in downtown dallas.

We only got pea-sized hail for a few seconds, but some places got up to baseball sized hail which did a lot of damage.

Yeah, I'm in Dallas too and in the recent storms, we've mostly gotten nickel-sized hail. I stood outside watching it bounce off of my 4Runner, with no other place to park it. Luckily, no damage.
