My dog is part Hosta.

My late Boxer/Shar Pei mix loved to ride in the back. His fur seemed to be very close to the Oak carpet and it didn't show too much. He was more than happy to hang back there with the window down most of the way.

Our chocolate Lab is just the opposite and tries to occupy the passenger seat most of the time. I need to get a pet barrier for her. Now, her fur shows up everywhere!

I just lay my passenger seat down and my lab/hound mix just sits with her nose out the window. Never had any problems with her scratching anything or throwing up though. Guess i got lucky :trophy:

I pulled my rear seats and have a large "dog blanket" that I cover the seat-backs with. My dog just strolls around looking out both windows... lots of room to move so he likes it!

I just went with my GF to adopt this 2 yr old poodle named Lilly on Friday. It is her first dog.

^cool looking dog. I have 2 catahoula leopards and a pit/ridgeback mix. They get cargo, back seat, and front seat. Obedience training from an early age is key with a dog, just like it with kids. Train them right from day one and you'll have well-behaved companions.

Here's Addie, the first catahoula we got, in the back seat of a rental on our way to the beach house for thanksgiving last year. She's my pride and joy. Higgins (blind and deaf catahoula) and Beatrice (pit ridgeback mix and dumb as a box of rocks) tomorrow. I'll post a pic of Ozzy (catahoula hit by car about a year ago) if I can dig one up on my home server too.

Mackenzie (a.k.a. MC Kenzie D, Cosmo Kenzie, Dog Face Killah, Kenzie...) almost always rides in the back seat, mostly because I've always got too much gear in the back. She has this funny tendency to get 'bored' back there and either reaches up front with her paw to get you to pet her or she sticks her head next to you. About the only problem is that her hair tends stick to the seat's fabric really well

She's an AWESOME dog!

Haven't had the back seats up for over a year. I might as well have a two seater with a dog bed in the back.
4 yr old (black) lab/dobie / 1yr (choc) lab / 29 yr old (blonde) nurse
Never had chewing problems.

One thing I do worry about is, in the event of an accident, having two potential HEAVY projectiles roaming freely in the back seat. I've considered putting up a gate between the front and rear seats. Any body else concerned about that or is it because I'm soon-to-be married to an ER nurse?

dont worry about it, the nurse will take care of you... thats why i got one... -mines an OR nurse though.
