Who has experience with KYB gas adjust shocks?

Im just curious as to how many of you are running these shocks. I have mentioned this in a few other threads - my 4runner is the stiffest vehicle I have ever experienced! Literally it blows away my dads 09 SR5 Tundra, 94 Ford F250 (which feels like riding a wooden roller coaster), my brothers 08 Ram, the newer F250s I drove at my last job, and a few other trucks Iv been in. So I wanted to start a thread that strictly addresses KYB shocks to see what experiences other people are having with them.

By the way I have read a few posts that gave the measurements between center of wheels to bottom of fender from guys who were selling their 99 "tall" coils, and my 98 sits about a half inch higher than both of their 99s did, both in the front and back. My coils are stock. I know shocks dont play role in spring rate, but I cant figure out any other way to explain the height. Any ideas? Maybe a few other 99 owners could post their measurements to compare with

I have KYB gas ajust struts on mine with 98 coils from Fonerunner, and the front rides high as well, ive never compared it too a 99 but since putting them on it makes my rear look like it sagged.

Guessing if the KYB's spring perch is in a different spot it will add lift like a spacer kit. Theoretically it might make it stiffer as well. Suggest a comparison of the KYB vs. Stock to see.

ive got the KYB momnomax all around (shocks and struts) im not sure if they are adjustable or not, i dont think they are so this post im posting is probably worthless but i enjoy the KYB's they are still sorta stiff but it makes the handeling awesome!

interested in more answers if anyone has them...I am debating bilstein 4600s or kyb gas a justs...want smooth highway ride, comfort, no off roading...need to know which is best for me, do not want harsh, don't mind stiff.
