Who has to park outside?

I unfortunately do! I fvcking hate it, but my lease (house) is only one more year then shes garaged! My current house has a tiny single garage that is like a truck condom, way too tight!
So why im asking is because i have noticed some sort of strange 'growth' along my window sills, looks like it could be a mold or algea but im not sure. It might just be the black fading/drying out or something, but I cant seem to clean it off or moisten it up(if its dry). It might be hard to picture, but lemme know and ill take a pic, im about to wash the truck.

Mine 4Runner sits outside, but only 11 months remaining on it's lease and then something else will be sitting outside. :

mine sits outside on the driveway too, just wash it more often to avoid any type of dirt or build up...

My runner sits outside because I'm a college student. I probably wash it... 4 times a year. I cold start it and drive the 3 miles (on a highway 65 mph) to school in below freezing temp. and turn it off before it warms up fully. What can I do to ensure longevity of the engine?

I live in an apartment so yeah mine sits outside as well most of the time.. i have a one car garage so sometimes the 4runner gets to park there once in a while....

mine sits out side all year long but during summer months and parts of winter its covered as i travel a lot but then again i baby it get washed and waxed every month waxed every other depending on weather conditions

With another new car and two motorcycles, the 4R sits outside. I can shoehorn it into the garage if I put one of the bikes in the foyer, but the GF isn't too thrilled about that.

haha ive always thought it was funny when id see a pic of a bike inside somenes house or apt
I think they would take them into their apt for the winter or something and totally disassemble heh, nuts!

You guys with the car covers..... have you experienced any negative side effects? Im namely worried about wind and the salty/sandy area i live (1 block to ocean). id hate for something to get caught up underneath the cover on a corner or tight spot and RUB at the paint. Ill probably just stick out the next year and the 50 or so car washs and 25 or so waxes and then upgrade homes )hoping(

Mine sits in a heated garage attached to my house . Its nice right now since its snowing and blowing like hell.

Also has 28/48" fl. lights , and a 60" ceiling fan , gas heated , fully insulated .


POS , are you going to buy something else or keep the 4R when your lease is up ?

My Runner is two weeks old (Black '07 sport) and I park it outside (alternating days with my '97).

It's been raining alot here, so in the last two weeks, I've washed the '07 Runner six times, and waxed it four times! Oh yeah...I'm insane, but the runner sure looks good! LOL!!!

I park my black 4runner outside also, and I gotta say, the dew is a b**ch. Since I live by the beach and it's 70's in the day, and 40's at night, it puts a nice blanket on my truck every night.
