I'd second the LED bar over the two round lights.
Who is interested in a "behind the grill" light mount bracket?

I keep it there to deter people from running into my garage and stealing stuff... :ak472:
An AR has been on the list for awhile but from what I hear you can go crazy mod'ing them and it isn't cheap... And the 4runner already does that!!!
Yeah the light bar is nice cause it matches the (future mod) light bar on the rack above it and the pictures of the amount of light it gives off is crazy....((

But what's cool is that in your build thread you have pics of your truck both ways to help me decide.

Nice build. I'm a huge fan of the good old A2 style stock. I'm waiting on a barrel for a AR-10 build I'm almost done with, 90 day wait from Lothar Walther..... its killing me!

Got mine today! Thanks Shawn! Super nice quality. Next is the Satoshi grille mod and when I do that I'll install the bracket as well. Plan is to run a 30" Rigid SR behind the grill (considered a 30" E series but it's just too tight and I don't want to spend $1k to find out if it truly is too tight or not) and maybe two smaller HID rounds in the lower grille a la Harper7 since I don't plan on putting anything on the roof basket. Should be plenty of light.

Look into Trek Lights (I think they're still an official vendor) there was a group buy on them with [MENTION=47340]Titanpat57[/MENTION] heading it up I believe. They are significantly less money than Rigids or VisionXs but as far as I know still have decent output.

Just a heads up to anyone looking for what I believe to be "the best bang for your buck"
Superduty Headquarters is a major Vision-X Distributer and a shop that I buy some of my gear from. A few months back I was looking around their Vision X selection for the replacement for the two HID's I used to have mounted behind the grill, I came upon something.
The 18" Xmitter Prime Xtreme (5-Watt LED Light bar) is listed on their site as $659…. well…. retail for this light bar is $1029… I wasn't sure if this was a misprint so I went ahead and ordered one a few months back.
Long story short, this bad boy puts out 14,790 lumens and can be configured with whatever combo of 40degree and 10degree optics that you want. I initially had mine configured with the 6 outer emitters on each side as 40 degree optics, and the remainder 10 degree, but after mounting up that massive light bar I got on the rack now, I sent the 18" bar back to Vision and for $20, they re-configured the bar to have all 40degree optics except the center 6 which remain 10deg.
This bar is pretty darned impressive. If I was running only this bar, I would have kept the original configuration of the "combo" beam. It had great throw and usable spill; plus, it fits PERFECT on the grill mount I sold you guys.
I don't think there is a better deal out there when you consider the lumen / dollar you are getting.

I have received a few PM's from folks who have installed their brackets and thus far, everyone has had perfect fitment on all the 5th gens. Good to hear!
Second - when you guys get your lights mounted up and finished, post a pic of your setup here if you can!
Third- As I suspected, there have been a number of PM's from folks who didn't get in the initial run of the brackets. If I can get a reasonable number of people together who want em, I will do another run. The more the better!
Post here and PM me if you are interested in a bracket and did not get in the first round. The price will increase slightly simply due to the economics of the situation. I would like to get at least 5 more people committed before I go buy more material and put in a request for more water jet time.
