Who is running tires with white letters?

i run the white letters on the inside.... When you wheel with white letter tires you eventually will come across a layer of white rubber that stars to show through and looks super ugly.

I like the oldschool look of white letters out. But as mentioned before - it has to be the bold looking letters. I've got black out right now for the winter, but I'll probably go to white out for the summer.

There is no appeal to me, it looks cheap and tacky on any vehicle - the last vehicle that looked cool on was the 1976 Trans Am.

i run both it depends on the tire? the 98 started its life w/me w/white out when i replaced them i changed them to in because i didnt like the michelin white letters, said michelin 2 times???wtf???

i have the exact same color scheme as you and i love my white walls out. i planned on getting them mounted in but they were already on a set of rims so i just went with it and am very happy with the way it turned out

Every time I see a 99 Highlander, it makes me wish my 2000 Highlander was a 99.

I think the white letters on the BFG looks really good. I have white letters out on my Firestones, although I don't like the white lettering on them a whole lot. I thought about trying white letters in, but I've always ran white lettesr out.. so it'd take some getting use to.

I finally got them, put the black walls out for now, when I get them rotated I'm going to swap around, but for now I like the look. This was the day I got them, front bumper is trimmed and installed now.

I just bought some new tires for my 2001 Highlander and was struggling with the question of white letter out, or not. I used this thread to help me decide, so I wanted to give a little back! :thanks:

For tires, I went with the General Grabber HTS. And yes, I chose to go white lettering out. The shop screwed up and put them on with the letters facing in, so I had a unique opportunity to show folks a before and after. I hope someone finds this useful.

When I cleaned the blue protective gunk off the tire lettering I kinda white-washed the sidewalls so they don't look their best yet. But the white lettering makes an otherwise dull-ish looking truck, just a bit edgy-er.
