Sounds like you are close to the spectrum maybe you could scout the parking lot one weekend and see how it is in the morning, or go check out those big business parks too.

Isn't there a Toyota dealership around there too?

Yeah, 9 or 10 would probably be fine. I'll try to get over there this morning to see how it is. I'm not all that close, so if mswscco could check I'd appreciate it. We are headed out shopping today, but not till later, and weren't planning on the Spectrum......I don't think. mswscco, let me know soon if you happen to check the forum before I take off.

OK, I'm back. I found the PERFECT place! On top of the parking structure just off the freeway. The only other parking structure isn't open yet so there won't be any confusion. To make it even easier to find I took some pictures. There was even a 4runner ready and waiting.

I accidentally deleted the pic that had the exact roof clearance value, but it looked like at least 18" above my roof racks. The pics show 2 buildings close by. The Yard House is also adjacent and I'm hoping someone will join me for a pint before heading out.

The details to this meet are pretty simple. We'll all meet on the top level of the Irvine Spectrum parking struture at 10 am. Check out everyones rigs and then maybe grab a beer and maybe lunch at The Yard House around 11:30am. I think I'll start a dedicated thread to get some more interest, but in the mean time continue to post here with who might be able to go.

I'm going to bring a few of the things that I haven't installed yet like my DRL flasher in case someone has some pointers on a quick instal. I'll also bring the components to the hood scoop for anyone interested to check out. Maybe I'll bring some mesh and some shears if anyone wants to add that to their emblem. + other stuff.

I go to the Irvine Spectrum all the time and would love to attend this meeting but...

I don't have my 4Runner yet!

The salesperson I'm working with tells me it will be another 3 to 4 months before it shows up.

Why I have to wait that long to get what SHOULD BE a standard configuration is beyond me.

I had to put in a Preference Order to get a fully loaded 4x4 Limited V8 with X-REAS.

I am SERIOUSLY considering looking in another state for the vehicle I want. From my research it looks like getting X-REAS on a Limited is quite easy on the East Coast.

Anyway... Enjoy the gathering all. I'll be there in spirit at least.

Kenn, I'll bring all the components I have except the actual sport hood......it's a little large. I was contemplating selling it since I am low on funds right now, so you may be able to talk me into it. The Extreme Cargo mat I bought is for a runner without the Double Decker Cargo system, so if someone wants it, I'll have it with me.
