SoCal here too... been shopping for used Trail Edition or new TRD Off-Road Premium for 3 months now... love this site! Thanks for the SoCal thread. Anyone have any negotiating advice? So far i'm only about to get them down to just under MSRP including tax title license etc... Thanks again!:yo:

It's been a decade since I've chimed in. Guess I've been busy and lost touch. I live in Rosemead near Montebello Mall. I have a 93 Runner. Just did the Miller Jeep Trail last weekend with the TTORA group. Looking to hook up with more Toyota drivers.
 
Hey! I live in Big Bear and would love to join in on some rides. I did squeeze rock just bellow John Bull Trail a month or so ago in my cousin's Tacoma and got the Toyota bug. Now I'm the new owner of a 2001 Limited with 163K - super clean and stock. Took off my running boards first thing and saving up for a suspension kit. Hope to see you on the trail.

Sounds good to me. Most don't go for less than MSRP in SoCal...and they don't have to. They sell, so there's no incentive for dealers to lower prices. They don't even advertise for the 4Runner around here because there's no need.

I used a broker service, San Diego County Credit Union to be exact. I shopped around individually, trying to use Costco Auto Buying program, AAA Discount, etc. and the broker at SDCCU got me the best deal. I paid $44.5k for mine out the door if that is of any help on June 19th, 2019. The broker got it from Frank Toyota in National City mile of cars but I believe they get them directly from fleet and that is where the discounts/savings come in.
Mine is 2019 White TRD OffRoad Premium, KDSS, navigation, it came with floor liners, the slide out cargo thingy, and running boards. Based on my own shopping around, it was a few grand cheaper than other places I saw.

Oof! I watched some jeeps thrash over a couple of weeks ago (no finesse). Moondust everywhere. My dad grew up in Big Bear and said it wasn't nearly that bad 30 years ago. People are constantly running it. Definitely worth a watch.
 
I live in SoCal and am new to the whole off-roading game. Looking to hit some trails in my 97 4runner with 4x4. I’m located in Newport Beach!
