who makes your sliders and how do you like them?

so ive been in the market for some sliders after having some door dings and some rocker panels get crushed... im curious to hear fellow T4R owners who have sliders on their rigs and who made them, what they like/dislike about them, cost and things they possibly would change if they did it all over again. also interested into some ideas/suggestions on who i should go with, i know who makes them for the most part, perkins, shrockworks, budbuilt, allpro blue fab, cbi ect ect ect. i have also been incontact with Metal Tech here in oregon as i share a mutual friend with the owner of the co and may go the route of having them make me some sliders and them using my rig as a guinea pig for them to make a prototype, now of course if this works out i will be going with them for obvious reason. but yes please all of your input will be valuable in my quest!

My .02

Mine are the Trail Gear 67" and you know they work... Got them from the website for under $200 including shipping. My buddy helped me weld them on, so that only cost me a short-case of Coors Light:naughty:.

I've got a set with kick outs from Savage Off Road. I just got them and haven't had a chance to weld them on yet. The build quality is excellent and the price was fair. I give them a big :thumb3:

4xinnovations, i beat on them pretty hard. I go wheeling all the time. So generally a few times a week. They have some dents but are holding up pretty good. They were under $200. Adam (the owner) is a pretty nice guy. He also sponsors a lot of good events for land use ect.

I recommend them to everyone. I have the hrew sliders with the kick out

I would make my own next time, but didn't have access to a tube bender when I bought them

Trail Gear 67" cost $137, was $176 with shipping.
I think they are the best value in sliders that I have seen for DOM tubing.

Only thing I would have changed is the place that welded them on, they did a good job no complaints in that regard however they ripped me off wildly for labor.

I painted them with Rustoleum Professional Primer & Paint then added grip tape.

They have already claimed their first victim 2 days ago, when I got back to my 4runner there was a white lexus parked REAL close to me and I noticed the very edge of the door had a small dent in it, looked at my slider and there was a tiny speck of white paint on the grip tape that fell off when I touched it.
No damage at all to slider not even to the paint because of the grip tape, would have probably been a door ding without them.

Wish I could put tiny sliders on my wifes Lexus.

I made mine with tubing I found at work so they were free. They did what they needed to, nothing fancy but they never let any rocks hit the body.

mine are custom.. reason being, not a whole lot of companies make them LONG enough. I've seen anywhere from 63"-67" while mine are almost 69". They also don't just tuck up on the body like you see most of the time, I can actually lean into a tree or rock mid body and not have to worry about it being so close to the body. They've done more than a fantastic job holding up and I've already put them to the test a couple times. The hybrid style (square tube running along the frame and round tube coming off of it) makes for a great look I think.

I think they cost me like 125 bucks, mounted. Somewhere around there.

I also like these. Good price and perfect length. I almost went with theirs until I got some custom made.

Mine only ran right under the rocker panel and I never got any body damage running black trails. Mine were only schedule 40 tube and they only have 1 little dent on them.

Stubbs welding HD-SKO awesome sliders. They are nice and long as well.

Addicted off-road's Sliders are super well built and look great wouldn't change buying them for any reason. Kick will save the door a lot and really it looks great.
