I have a 2008 sr5. the metal that frames the glass in my sunroof is rusted and flaking apart, I took it to the Toyota dealership I bought it from, the regional service rep told me it would cost around $700.00 to fix, and he'd split the cost with me. my truck has 49K on it, but I have extended warranty, and this seems like a design flaw, I told him many 4runners have this problem in the same place, the told me all sunroofs get this way, and it's my fault for not cleaning it and keeping it dry. my truck is garaged, and almost always spotless. it's only been in the rain a handful of times. should I go to another dealership? or is there a Toyota rep anyone could recommend? any advice would be greatly appreciated.
