Thats not a typo. I sold it at an auction in Texas for a little over $7,000.

Am I missing something here? Why would someone pay for a SUV that has over 235,000 miles on it for 7k when for that price you can get other SUV'S under 100k miles?

I have no idea. It was in great shape but I was still amazed at the price. Someone told me the 2nd gen 4Runners were selling for high prices around that time due to demand for their offroading capibility. What good SUV's can be had for $7k with under 100k miles? You cant get a 4x4 4Runner for that. 4x4 '98 4Runners with around 100k miles are going for $13k to $14k on ebay and Autotrader.

edit: you can get 2x4 4Runners for $7k to $9k but not a 4x4.
