Man i'm at my wits end with my boss. He's a complete A*****e, everyday he comes in with a bad attitude and is dying to take it out on anyone and lately its been me. Who out there has a boss like this and how do you deal with that person? I work in the electrical utility industry so its a bunch of tough guys but within the crew there is respect except our boss...he talks to everyone like little kids.

I got one at one of my jobs. Since I work 2 jobs and the other one is the complete opposite(all older adults that are super nice(ECU student store)), I notice the difference a lot more.
My other job, at the Hilton is the crappy one. I'm not one to talk crap about people unless they deserve in which case I address them. But I have heard here being described as, not getting any in years, her you know what must have been sown shut, a power dike. Personally I try not to let her get me down but there are 2 other people I work with that imitate her exactly and act the same way with the same attitude so it can sometimes be really hard. I just keep in mind there is something else going on in their life that has them in this mood.
The only time I have something to say about her attitude is when it come to my money. For instance the other night we had a ton of graduation parties and I waited on one and my tip was $50, then I waiting on another party with someone else where our tips were about $200. I left a little early so the manager took the large party tab off my number and switched it to the other girl. I cashed out and since there was only one table on my tab now, I should have walked with the $50 I made on the first table. To make a long story short, she handed me $30 and basically said a bunch of random stuff that made no sense. Of course now I'm on Christmas break so I won't be able to sort anything out until I get back on Monday.
I will say something though if I feel that her attitude is affected my income, other than that, I will ignore her.

Dec 22nd just about every department was having Christmas potlucks or just planned no workload for the day unless a power outage happened then we'd spring into action, not to mention it was raining like crazy. Nope not my boss, he sent us out in the rain to do random crap. 80ft up in the air on a power pole, in the rain to pull serial numbers off equipment. When my crew finally got back no food was left and we missed out on hanging out with our fellow co workers. My boss had a big grin on his face like "mission accomplished" he purposely planned to ruin our day.
