We're up in Huntington Beach, but we frequently head down south as I grew up in north county and my family is there... there are lots of 3rd gen guys in SD. Check out the SoCal sub forum! Lots of guys post up there.

I'm in San Diego. 04 SR5 with FJ lift and Daystar Spacers. Deer Springs trail in Escondido is pretty awesome with tons of trails everywhere. Corral Canyon is another spot but is more difficult. Then Anderson Truck trail in Alpine. It's a short trail with some nice ruts and what not, but a nice view of the lake at the end. Then Pancake Rock if you feel like testing out your skid plates. Wouldn't recommend this trail at all if you don't have a lift though. Then there is Otay Mountain which you could drive a Honda Civic up. It's mostly a gravel road but does have a few turn offs that can be fun. If you ever want to go let me know. I have a group that I go with of mixed vehicles and it's always fun.

I'm in San Diego. My 4R is mostly stock. Just got a set of Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armors - 265/70-17. Am getting Bilstein 5100s soon to level it.
Try Palomar mountain. Go up Palomar Divide Rd to the top then down the back side via High Point Truck Trail and end up on the Temecula side. Barker Valley is a nice 3 mile in hike also.

We should get a sd run together sometime. Im doing 5100 and 885 up front and superflew in rear then im ready

San Diego local checking in! I've just got a small lift in the front and some BFGs. There's Pamo road in Ramona that has some good trails off of it, but nothing crazy. I usually go out to the desert, just went to the mud caves this last weekend, and Canyon Sin Nombre is another fun trail. I'd be down for a run sometime if we can get a group together.

Group off road ride in SD
I'm new to the 4runners and just got an V8 4x4 and live in SD (San Marcos). I'd like to join next time. My ride is stock height but i'd like to learn the ins and outs of off roading. Keep me posted on the next event. Thanks.
