Who’s running 275s?

So I’m searching for good tires now. I don’t want 265s and I’m a a little on the fence with 285s. So happy medium. 275. I have looked around on the internets and the local stores. I don’t see P rated 275s anywhere. So I guess I’ll settle for LT C if I can find them.

What are you guys with 275s running? What sizes? What brand? Good highway? Noises? MPGS? Etc. I’ll be running these on my 2016 stock trail wheels. And about to pull a trigger on a mild Dobinson lift.

hey mate. if you use the search function, you'll find a ton of threads, both recent and old, with exactly what you're looking for. TONS of threads - like more than you're going to care about, but they'll have great info and pictures.

that being said, i'm running 275 BFG KO2s (E load). no complaints thus far. i personally find them smooth and quiet for the most part. a few have complained about poor performance on the highway when it comes to rain, but i haven't had that problem - i personally slow down just a tad when it rains for common sense reasons.

I noticed that too. However that wasn’t the complete reason why I posted. I wanted the people who had 275s whether it be P or LT chime in with their experience and what not.

Worth noting it seems 275/70r17 BFG KO2’s are on backorder until mid January. I’ve heard this from two sellers.

I have had Cooper S/T Maxx 275/70's for 57k and have loved them. I did a full write up that you can check out here. They are E-rated, so they will ride stiffer, but they have been tough as nails and have gotten me through a lot of terrain.

I agree with 91324. I noticed that the KO2’s were just a tad quieter, if unnoticeable, over the P rated Grapplers on my Pro. The E rated tire is slightly more responsive over bumps, but, I soon forgot about it. Ride is good. I like that I can run over rocks and debris with less worry. Also, I don’t have to worry about using chains, in most cases, because of the snowflake icon on the KO2’s, which, the P rated tires don’t have. Although I only have a few thousand on my 275’s, I had 20k on my 285-75-16’s on my previous 4Runner and they hardly looked used. Here is my Pro with 275’s. No clearance issues as the Pro is 1” higher and comes with the fender liner mod.

We have a stock 2016 Trail and just mounted 275 70 17 KO2s on 17x8.5 SCS F5s. Love the look but at full lock rubbed like crazy until I trimmed the front bumper. They still rub on the stock mud flaps but it’s not bad. I’ll try to mod them if possible but if no luck will just remove them.

The only problem is that those are the previous generation AT3's and are very hard to find now. I think they're out of stock at most places. Cooper released their updated AT3's and never brought a 275 C-rated size. I'm running their 285 E-rated AT3 XLT and it just might be too much of a tire for my use.

Thanks! I was taking my front bumper off yesterday and was wondering why I had to extra holes in the liner and it looked like the fender was cut/sanded. I have an sr5 with the xp predator package but it came with the trd pro suspension. Interesting.

If we could get some more options in 275 I'd really pull the the trigger. 285 is likely too much and dont feel like taking the 50/50 of fit and having to deal with that.

I really wish there were more options in this size. I am sending my 275 70 17 ST Maxx's back today after 2 weeks of use. I love the performance and looks, but took almost a 3MPG hit and feel like a slug off the line. The tires are 59 lbs a piece. Replacing with duratrac 265 70 17 in C.

There needs to be more C options in this size.

Did not realize that, just checked their web site and you are correct. I bought my tires a little over a year ago and they still look like new.
