born and raised in raleigh, lived in greenville for a painful 6 months, now im living back in wilmington again

Wilmington, NC here. I am planning on going to Uwharrie sometime offroading. I feel like my 4runner deserves it. Other than that haven't really been west of Raleigh. My main hobby is working on cars.

Born and raised in a little town called Wendell 20 mins from Raleigh but now live in Goldsboro thanks to the military and I love going up to Wilmington to visit family and just to take in the salt air, plan on retiring there one day. What do you guys do in Wilmington job wise?

RAJ & Bronc. We should get together whenever I get back from this deployment it would be nice to check out someone elses progress on the 4runner and just shoot the ****.

Where are you staying in wilmington? we should hit up north end of carolina one weekend

I have my Freeman Park pass and go out there several times throughout the year. Although I'll be on a black 4th gen now instead of a white 3rd gen. I'll have my T4R sticker, though, so if you see me flag me down. :D

I'm cringing that I missed the $60 deadline the pass a few months back and have to get my pass now for $120. Anyways as soon as I do we can all head down there and do some fishing and surfing and whatever else. Let's plan a little weekend camping trip

Im down with a camping trip but I will probably miss it this year or atleast this summer due to my deployment and wont be back sometime in Oct. but if we did a camping trip or something that would be awesome and we could get some awesome pics of the runners going on the beach. I know other members would be jealous lol

Born and raised in Raleigh! A beach trip would be sweet, I don't know how my 2wd would hold up in the loose sand though!

Born and raised in Greensboro, moved to Raleigh 5 years ago for college (NC State) and I'm moving to Wilmington in October for a new job. Can't wait to get out on the beaches!!!

I have a few decent powerline easements around here that I hit up occasionally, I need to find some good spots in Wilmington now!

NCSU all the way. wolfpack for life. Yea I dont know of any trails out in Wilmington but im always willing to go on new adventures there and around NC. Dous you should be fine on the sand with those aggressive treadwrights but if not im sure me or the other 4wd 4runners could get you out.

I think we should all get together just saying and Durrell ur new 4th gen looks sick def. jealous

Thanks man. I really like it. Love the V8. :D

Yeah Dous you'd probably be outta luck at Freeman. Most of it is extremely soft sand. A locked 2WD might be ok, but even then I'm not sure. That sand is tough.

I hear ya thats what I'm worried about. It will be locked next week, but still. Maybe my dad will let me take his 4th Gen V8! Sad to see the 3rd gen go Durrell, but you can't beat that V8

I think the season pass is 100 now. I am down for whatever. Let me know if anyone comes down to the area.

Dous, Freeman park is really soft in some spots. I think you could try it with your rear tires aired down and the locker just in case. Just take a tow strap.
