I noticed that many runner owners change there rear dif fluid and not that I don't mind doing it but every other suv I ever owned "5" before this one "nowI have a 06 V6 Runner" I never changed the rear dif fluid and I never had any problems with each one going over 100K. So what gives do runners have weak difs??

Nothing gives them weak diffs. Its mainly just maintenance and peace of mind. Those gears get mighty hot back there and there really is no filter in the diff except the magnetic plug.

You could leave it and not worry. They are pretty big gears. However, it is probably a good idea.

How long do you want to keep your 06?

I would also add that most are changing over to synthetic and not just changing out for new dino oil.

I run Pennzoil Platinum ........

why did you change your oil to Pennzoil Platinum?

your answer could be a little similar reason (if not the same) why 4runner owners everywhere change their diffs and x'fer case.
