Why do people put trd stickers on 3rd gen 4runners?

I feel like you posting in the 3rd gen section is foreshadowing... For any technical questions and information make sure you are in the correct subforum. We have a lot of people that wonder into the wrong section asking for specific technical advice for a vehicle not covered under the 3rd gen umbrella so I'm attempting to get you into the correct area for future help. 3rd gen and 4th gen share very little in common so most of the upgrades/advice/technical manuals you find in the 3rd gen section won't be of any help to you. Feel free to get your panties in a wad and throw a virtual fit over me trying to direct you to the correct subforum for future reference.
Bringing back an old thread for a comment that provides no substance or relevant information looks a lot like trying to get your post count up. As a new member you have to either meet a certain number of posts or a probationary time period in order to start your own thread in most subforums. Hence why I thought of this as a foreshadowing event.
If you get this offended/upset/aggravated over my post trying to be helpful in a jesting manner maybe you should go over to pirate4x4.com

Let people make mistakes before you correct them, also, who made you the forum police? Grow up and stop trying to insult people. It's toxic and helps no one. You can't bark at someone for no reason and then somehow be justified in verbally attacking them when they bark back lol. That wasn't jesting, that was self important narcissism. You might have 2000+ posts but no one asked you to preemptively stop what you determine might be a future offense. Lol also, there is a difference between being a butt hurt cry baby and self defense from an entitled territorial internet troll who has wayyyyy too much time on their hands. Seriously, though, I did put a TRD decal on my doors for a while. It was a bit of a joke. My then-girlfriend, now-wife made fun of me when I took her with me to go look at a 2002 4Runner to decide whether or not to buy it. The dealer was located in Rockville, MD about an hour away from where I lived in DC. She was busting my balls and telling me the only reason to buy the 4Runner was to impress the ladies of Rockville to see if I could hook up with them and wind up becoming a Rockville daddy. The entire test drive she insisted the 4Runner would have to live out its life as a Rockville daddy's car.
That was 2012 and the name stuck for the old boy. He's been known as The Rockville Daddy ever since. The initials fortuitously remain TRD, but I shortened the name to Artie from RD.
So there you have it. I guarantee you no one else you run into will have the same reason for putting a TRD sticker on the side of their rig.
