Why is Blizzard Pearl so hard to find?

I've had a Blizzard/Beige/Ltd/4wd/Nav/3rd-Row on order for three weeks now. The dealer is telling me that I could get that combo in other colors, but he has not been able to secure a white one. He claims that every time a white one comes in to another dealer, it is sold before it arrives and, thus, he cannot trade for it.

Is white really this hard to find?

When I was looking at the end of May there were only 2 available in the entire Northeast and they were both spoken for. Thankfully im tight with a manager and salesman and he was able to get one re-routed from Japan that was supposed to go to a Baltimore dealer sent to my dealer in NY via the NJ port. I still had to wait 4 weeks though, if that didnt happen I would of waited 8-12 weeks for a build from Japan. IMHO I just think the Blizzard pearl looks the nicest and is very easy to keep clean. I would of gotten black but its to flat and not metallic, i couldnt deal with keeping it clean, swirl marks and scratches ect....

Just guessing that's it's the beige interior. That's what I wanted, but the dealer couldn't find any in the database. He said they do not build many that way, so I settled for black leather.

Really like the BP tho, has to get really dirtyto show it.
 
Check out cars.com for their New Car inventory, it shows there are >90 2011 Blizzard Pearl Limiteds out there. That is without specific options of course, but maybe a good place to start.
 
They mostly come with black interior, very few that come in beige.Out of 7 white available at the time when I was shopping, only one that come in beige interior, so i have to paid almost at full price for it. I don't know why.

SR5 BP w/ tan leather at my local dealership - actually been there a while too - Don't think I have seen a fully loaded LE BP around here yet though.
 
I've found black interior, but I live in Houston and I really don't want a hot seat every time I get in. I've also seen several w/o third row and w/o nav. I've kept my Ford Exploder for 8 years. I expect to keep the 4Runner for 10, so I really want to get it decked out just the way I want it.
 
There is a SR5 BP sitting a the dealership about 10 minutes away from my house. It has been there about a month now. Tan interior, but not the limited like you are looking for, don't remember if it has the 3rd row.
 
Hey all, I just picked up my 2011 BP LTD 4wd/nav/tan/3rd row on Thursday. It's amazing. It was an ordered piece, and I got the 3rd one to hit the dirt, so they are making them. Glenn, I think your dealer was looking at mine, as I ordered mine on Oct 15th~ and as soon as it came available in port, they put my name on it. It was super tough to get though. But, it is by far the nicest combo I've seen yet.

I was the first 4runner they've seen with Tan leather for the 5th gen, and the dealer LOVED it, said it looked like it was straight out of a Lexus. I'm uploading some pics for you all, and I'll post them when Flickr's done..

After we drove it home from the dealer. She had 2 on her the minute we picked it up.

Ticket on the thing was just under 46k. It has everything, and I mean everything.

NAH, If you don't mind me asking, how much did you end up paying for it? I ask because I found one with EVERYTHIHNG (including the chrome tip) in another state. The dealer says the list is $45,600 and he's offering it for $44,900.

I'm normally very patient with such things, but the tranny on my Exploder is getting wonky. I'm not sure how much longer I've got :-(
 
I would have definitely gone with a BP and sand beige interior....so sweet looking! It just looks too nice to take out into the dirt or bring dirt into :(

We just got ours a week ago with BP, tan leather, nav, third row blah blah blah. The first one we did the paper work on was 4 hours away at another dealership. That dealer refused to trade it. My dealer ended up finding a second one that just got off the boat and he had to trade three other cars to get it. This took 48 hours for the dealer to locate it. They tried to get us to change to any other color. Ours had a sticker price of 45K and change. I paid $40,400.

This is my wifes car and I absolutely love driving this truck. I am amazed every time I get in it.

We've already added the Husky Weather Beater floor mats, Husky mud flaps, SE Running boards, Goodyear Silent Armor tires, ATS Bug shield.

Now we plan on just enjoying it by taking it snow skiing, towing our Malibu in the summer to the pond and vacations to the lake.
 
In Canada, you can only get tan interior in a 2011 LE with BP.
2010s offered tan with mag grey and black, but discontinued for 2011.
So, if you don't want BP, you can have a Limited with any colour interior as long as it's black.

That's part of the reason I don't like silver and magnetic gray. It seems tan is available with red, black, and BP exteriors.
