Why is site no longer secure?

I just noticed this site is not secure anymore even if you add https:// before the domain.

Could be a few reasons in how they have the site configured. The certificate is still valid though but not applicable across the site for https.

I respectfully disagree. All it takes is one spoofed URL redirect, ad link, etc. and you can find yourself on the receiving end of some bad mojo. Personally, I use HTTPS Everywhere extension in Chrome. Over 99% of all sites I visit implement HTTPS and when it shows otherwise, I question the security of the site and what can occur.

It's not just here. I've seen this at several sites I visit, including my personal email account. I'm curious about it, too. I use Chrome normally. Just to see, I opened IE just now and typed https://www.toyota-4runner.org/, and it seems to go there securely - the https stays. So maybe a Google thing?

I use chrome and every so often, I get a message saying the site is not secure.

I generally use Safari and also have "not secure" notifications.
