Yes, I know all 4Runner's hold value, I owned a 2016 Trail that I was able to recoup a ton of value on when I traded to my Pro. My point was IF you can get a Pro at MSRP, due to the amount of market adjustment mark-ups on these vehicles, you can be positioned probably better in terms of residual than any other 4Runner trim.
Maybe I'm wrong, but my Pro only recently dropped below my purchased value in November 2019 in terms of residual value (as the used car market has cooled off a bit in the first half of 2023). My Trail never held value like that and was actually purchased at below invoice.
I'd argue the Fox shocks can handle a lot more also than the stock Offroad ones. They are pretty beefy with at least the rear as a bypass shock also. I've desert run this vehicle at speeds and temperatures that I'm pretty sure would have blown my Trail shocks apart to be honest with no issues.
