Why spend 25$ on Silverstar corner bulbs??

Blinker is a blinker, if it works fine why bother changing it, it's not constantly on for any noticeble differense. Parking lights on the other hand are uncool in amber, if you ask me...

In most of states, front parking lights should light up amber, but i got mine in blue. I'm not sure about silvania, just check out the label on the box.

I dont understand. They are 25 dollars and they say they light up amber. I know its illegal, but I want my turn signals in the bumpers to light up clear and match my silverstar bulbs when the headlights are on. Does anybody know what im talking abuot?

The silverstar headlights light up in a white/blue color, but the silverstar signal lights light up amber. In most, if not all states, amber is the only color allowed as a turn signal color in the front, thus changing the bulb to another color is illegal. The silverstar signal bulbs are only meant to mimic the look that the superwhite bulbs give when the light is off, while providing a legal amber light when it is on.

I know what you're talking about though, I've seen the white/blue signal bulbs around here, heck my sister has them on her car. If I remember correctly, you have a 97 3rd gen, so your front signal bulb would be a 1156. Here's a link to some bulbs that you might be interested in: http://216.82.69.117/detail.asp?PRODUCT_ID=1156-Super-White. Those should match up okay with the silverstars, but there will/might be a slight color difference since all bulbs are not made the same. Just so you know, that link is for ONE bulb only, not a pair.

so the silverstar BLINKER lights are bright white until the blinker is on, then it blinks amber?

I already have the silverstar headlights.

Im so confused!!!!

Sorry if that confused you.

The glass on the bulb itself is blue, but the light it gives off is amber. Anytime it lights up, all you'll get is an amber light.

I think this picture from the Sylvania website explains it better:

FnDocIdDisplay.asp

Looks blue when off, amber when it's on.

OHH! So theres nothing special about it other then the blue tint?? So I might as well go with the clear bulb w/ the amber huh? Probably a lot cheaper!

I just purchesed clear bumber lights for my 97 4R. I am wanting amber bulbs that are clear when off but amber when on so I am legal. Has any one tried these LED bulbs from www.lightlens.com
1156 LED Super Bright Amber Twist Mount Bulbs (1 contact on bottom, 12V 27W, 15 Super Bright LEDs per bulb? Do you thik this would look good with the clear lights? thanks

If you know the clear bulbs are illegal why use them to start with. It will cost you alot more than $25 in fines if you get caught using them?

Or you can spray a light coat of silver spraypaint over your orange bulb and when it lights the amber will still show through the paint.
I've seen this in person and it works well.

I'm buying a set of clear signal lenses for my '99 and am gonna try the paint method on the bulbs soon and see if it works for me.

forgive me for sounding stupid to this subject, but....

i have seen the led bulbs around for a while now, and i was curious....what are the advantages? do they last longer? are they brighter? and they still fit the factory sockets. you can put in a bulb that draws 27w without upgrading the fuse? i am curious before i go ahead and buy some. i need something brighter than stock to match up with the silverstars. i have looked at the runner head on, and honestly, the headlights overpower the parking lights to the point you can almost not even see them. i love the silverstars.
