why threads finnish too soon?

= why ? i think there are more space for help and share experiences from 4runner uzsers. sometimes threads die too soon ann lots of unsolved troubles can be seen here. i know I doesnt understand lots of words and i cant use them right. but i like this place cause here i can share experiences and I cant help too good luck to all. i said before im having problems and i want to sell my loved truck

lately I have noticed all the threads just kinda suck. there's nothing cool really happening, therefor threads keep dying.

I went on yesterday and there was barely any updates at all.

Good threads seem to come in waves. If you think a thread died too early and wasn't fully answered, just give it a bump and reiterate the question.

what threads have finished too soon? the threads usually stop when the questions have been answered. if you feel they haven't, bump them.

Definitely bump 'em. I agree with you on a lot of the troubleshooting threads. I think a lot of people don't get the answer they're looking for and then never update the thread. Sometimes a reply can be over the op's head too

Sadly there are lots of boring and kind of pointless threads of people saying 'I ordered a lift' or 'I washed my rims' or 'I blinked 6 times in the last minute' or whatever. These types of threads clutter up the 'useful' stuff. I understand that people get excited about the little things they do, but seriously, unless there's something actually worthwhile to share with everyone, then just add it to your signature.
Luckily this site has a pretty decent audience and tolerant group of contributors otherwise there could easily be a ton of b!tching towards the pointless and repetitive threads.

I've noticed this too. What really makes me want to punch babies is when someone puts something for sale, gets offers (for full price) then the seller never replies at all again. Arghhh! Happened to me twice now in the past month. Plus seeing that they've been on line since your offer many times doesn't make it any easier

whats the meaning of bump,em ?? how you do that? other thing that maybe is annoying for so many people is because I DONT SPEAK write good english at all... but i feel the most of my questions isnt anwered at all... btw thanx you have very good responses at threads

the bad news is that due to the lots of fixes my truck need i decide to sell her sadly said but it need to much for me, differential leaking, rear sag, fuel gauge, stuck, suspension in front moved back due to carcrash windshield crashed enought? :s:roadkill:

Bump just means that you post a reply that says bump, which will "bump" the thread to the top of the forum list again.

So you're runner was in an accident some time before you bought it? I would get one with no accidents and good maintenance records. Dealing with all those problems at once is a lot of work

I think that we might,... I know I do this,...only look at the recent updates on the first page. So if something you think is interesting gets posted and you want to follow it, and you post a response or are interested in an answer to the question and then someone else posts something else they think is interesting and want to share then the original post gets pushed out from the first page and you might stop following up on it since you don't see it anymore right away when you logon the the home page.

What I do now is make it a point to click on and look at all the posts for a topic, such as General or Off Roading or 4th Gen T4Rs etc... instead of just looking at the first page. Also if there is something that you are following use the "Thread Tools" link at the top of the thread and "Subscribe" to it. Whenever someone posts up a response to that thread you will get an email so you can stay on top of it, and might realize that questions actually do get answered except that the get lost behind all the other posts and we lose track of them. Subscribing to threads also makes it so that you can look back at this list of all the threads that are interesting for you and if you notice that something didn't get answered then you know which ones you should Bump. Maybe the person with the answer hadn't seen the question either....keep track of what is interesting to you and Bump when necessary to get the proper person to see the question.

and for 004gunrunner.. yep it is hard to fix all the things in a truck involved in an accident, but i didnt know all those things, never used carfax before, but i would like if due to all those malfunctioning issues theres something like time belt comming this month or something like(atracction law?) lets see.

If you want to know if CarFax has any hits on your car, I think the web site will let you enter your VIN and will show you how many entries there are for free, but won't show you what they actually are unless you pay for it.

But slso keep in mind that CarFax is only as good as what has been reported. Example, if I have an accident, and I do not claim it, or tell my insurances about it and just do the repair myself, then it will not appear on carfax.
